Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Asiwaju of Ona Ara and Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, has sent his condolences to the families of the victims of the building that collapsed in Ibadan, on Thursday.
Recalled that more than 10 people reportedly died, several others sustained various degrees of injury in the incident which occured at the Jegede Olunloyo Area of Ona Ara Local Government Area.
Chief Sanusi, reacting to the tragic incident, expressed profound sympathy with the bereaved and grieving families. He also extended his prayers for strength and comfort during this difficult time.
In a related development, Chief Sanusi, Chairman/CEO of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, also extends his condolences to the family of Mr. Taoreed Adedigba who died on Thursday.
Adedigba, the immediate past former chairman of Akinyele Local Government Area, died after a brief illness.
Sanusi said the contributions and dedication of Adedigba to his community and dedication to public service would be remembered and deeply appreciated.
He declared that that passing of the former local council boss was a significant loss to Akinyele Local Government Area and the larger Oyo State community.
“We stand together in support and solidarity with the families of those affected, both in the collapsed building disaster and the death of Mr Taoreed Adedigba.
“During times like these, the unity and strength of our communities are essential. I assure the affected families of my prayers and unwavering support,” Sanusi stated.
Chief Sanusi calls upon the people of Oyo State to rally together in compassion and empathy, supporting one another as they navigate the period of mourning and reflection.
