Paramount ruler of Emuoha Kingdom in Rivers State, His Royal Majesty Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, has been appointed as the Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
The appointment by the Oyo State government was announced by the state Executive Council (ExCo), following its meeting, held on Tuesday.
The state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, made this known in a statement after the state Exco meeting.
It was also disclosed that the appointment of the monarch from Rivers State as the Chancellor of LAUTECH takes immediate effect.
“LAUTECH will benefit from the rich experience of the first class monarch as an administrator, community leader and a reverred traditional ruler,” it was stated in the statement.
