Senator Sharafadeen Alli has described the demise of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleoso as a significant loss to Oyo State in particular and Nigeria in general.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker representing Oyo South Senatorial District stated this in his condolence message over the death of the former Secretary to Oyo State Government and Babalaje of Saki.
The late Chief Koleoso, a respected voice in Oke-Ogun and beyond, passed on on Monday night at the age of 86 years.
Senator Alli, in a statement by his Special Adviser (Media), Akeem Abas, praised the late prominent politician for his immense contributions to the development of Oyo State and the country.
He acknowledged the role of the late Chief Koleoso as a seasoned politician, renowned businessman and respected community leader who he said served the people of Oyo State with dedication and integrity.
Senator Alli recalled with admiration Chief Koleoso’s commitment to the growth and prosperity of Sakiland and his tireless efforts to improve the lives of its people.
“As a former National Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Chief Koleoso was instrumental in shaping the political landscape of Nigeria during a critical period in the nation’s history.
“Chief Koleoso was a beacon of wisdom and an exemplary leader whose legacy will continue to inspire generations,” Alli stayed in the statement.
The lawmaker extended heartfelt condolences to the family, the people of Sakiland as well as all those who were touched by his life and leadership.
Senator Alli prayed for the repose of the soul of Chief Koleoso. He also asking God to comfort his family during this difficult time.
“Chief Koleoso’s passing at the age of 86 marks the end of an era, but his contributions to society will never be forgotten,” he added.
