Senator Uche Ekwunife has donated a new set of furniture to St Michaels Model Comprehensive School, Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The gesture was part of the efforts of the federal lawmaker, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, at renovating selected schools across the senatorial district.
The federal lawmaker was represented at the event by her legislative assistant, Ifeyinwa Chinwuko, who was received by the duo of Rev. Fr Dennis Nwabueze and Rev. Fr Calistus Nwogu, manager and assistant manager, respectively, of the school.
Teachers and students of the school also joyfully joined to receive the senator’s team, just as the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the local government area, Sir Magnus Obodoeze.
Recall that Senator Ekwunife had, last Friday, delivered similar sets of furniture to Central School, Nise and Community Secondary School, Isiagu.
Whilea total of nine schools will benefit from the ongoing first batch of distribution, she had promised that more schools will be covered in subsequent batches.
This, according to a release from her office, was in line with her belief that investment in education and human capital development are necessary to spur economic growth and development.
