Ekiti SEMA Boss Urges Workers To Be Security Conscious
The Chairman, Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Captain Sunday Adebomi (rtd), has felicitated with Ekiti workers on the 2021 Workers Day celebration, otherwise known as May Day.
Adebomi, a governorship aspirant in the 2018 poll, in a statement commended the state workforce for their support and show of understanding in the face of economic hardship.
He said the contributions of workers to the growth and development of Ekiti State cannot be over-emphasised, hence the need to accord them greater respect in nation-building.
The SEMA boss also used the occasion to call on workers to support the current administration in the state in its determination to deliver the much-needed dividends of democracy to the entire citizenry.
The APC chieftain, however, cautioned Ekiti workers against indulging in acts capable that can lead to emergency by clearing the surrounding bushes and water ways.
On the spate of kidnappings and banditry across the land, Adebomi admonished workers to always take security precautions and avoid unnecessary journeys in the night hours.
He urged the workers and the people to always walk in twos, if its desirable for them to embark of journeys and to also report any suspicious movements within their localities
Adebomi also called residents of the state to cultivate the habit of planting trees, saying this would curtail the adverse effect of rainstorms.
