Angela Folarin: I Have Lost A Sister, A Friend-Hon Folake Olunloyo-Oshinowo
A former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Folake Olunloyo-Oshinowo, has said she has lost a sister and a friend with the passing of Chief Mrs Angela Folarin, the wife of Senator Teslim Folarin.
The former lawmaker, who is the Are Omo Egbe Iyalode of the Iyalode Council of Ibadanland, also said: “We have lost an amazon, a pillar of support to her husband, the senator representing the people Oyo Central and former Senate Leader.
The former federal lawmaker said these in a condolence message to the husband of the deceased, Senator Folarin and their children.
The late Mrs Angela Folarin, who was said to be hale and hearty until her demise, last Friday.
Honourable Olunloyo-Oshinowo said “the news of the demise of late Chief Mrs Angela Folarin was shocking and devastating. The departed is a very brilliant lawyer who was a strong political force behind her husband.
“She was a good mother to their two boys who were her world. She was loved by all for her friendliness, love for husband and her good nature.”
The former lawmaker, who represented Ibadan South-West/North-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives between 2007 and 2011, said the late Mrs Folarin had an amazing personality that endeared her to all.
“I am still in shock about her sudden demise. In fact, it still seems like a dream that Chief Mrs Angela Folarin has passed on to the great beyond.
“By her demise, the political circle in Oyo Central, and especially the people of Ibadan have lost a rare gem.
“Mrs Folarin was a good mobiliser of men and resources. She was a brilliant mind and a strong force behind her husband,” she said.
Honourable Folake Olunloyo-Oshinowo, however, said she would be consoled by the fact that the late Mrs Angela Folarin lived a short but impactful life, positively touching the lives of those who came her way.
“I pray for the repose of her soul. My condolences to Senator Folarin, the children, other members of her family and the people of Oyo Central,” she said in the message.
