Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke, has been commended by the state Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. George Alabi, over the plans for road construction and rehabilitation in Ejigbo Local Government Area.
Hon. Alabi, in a statement on Wednesday, hailed the governor for what he described as his “visionary and highly commendable kind gesture”.
Specifically, the commissioner appreciated Governor Adeleke for the planned rehabilitation of the 32KM Ejigbo-Iwo Road and the reconstruction of the 5.1KM Ejigbo-Isoko-Aye-Oguro Road.
Hon Alabi, on behalf of the people of Ejigbo, commended the governor for prioritising the two important capital projects.
He noted that the initiatives will significantly enhance connectivity and promote socio-economic growth within Ejigbo and its environs.
Hon. Alabi emphasised that the projects would create avenues for increased investments and generate employment opportunities, ultimately improving the overall well-being of residents of Ejigbo.
He expressed confidence that the efforts by Governor Adeleke will open new economic avenues for local farmers, traders and entrepreneurs, providing them with broader market access and enhancing the region’s economic activity.
The commissioner however called on the residents to remain patient and supportive throughout the construction phases.
He assured them that the long-term benefits of the projects would far exceed any temporary disruptions caused during the process.
Hon Alabi also praised Governor Adeleke for his dedication and commitment to the development of Osun State, particularly in ensuring the progress of Ejigbo Local Government Area.
