Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has been appointed as the patron of the Oyo Babaloja General-In-Council.
The appointment as the patron was conveyed in an official letter presented to him during a courtesy visit to Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Ibadan by members of the Oyo Babaloja General-in-Council and the Oyo State Market Leaders Council.
The letter was signed by the Babaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaji (Chief) Yekini Abass Oladapo (aka Alhaji Y.K. Abass), who was recently installed officially by the state government as the recognised leader of market men and women across the state.
In his remarks, Chief Dotun Sanusi expressed profound appreciation to the market leadership in Oyo State for finding him worthy of the honour.
He described his appointment as the patron as a call to greater service and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the welfare, unity, and economic advancement of traders and entrepreneurs throughout the state.
Sanusi noted that market leaders remain critical stakeholders in the socio-economic development of Oyo State and commended them for their continued efforts in sustaining commerce and grassroots prosperity.
Among the dignitaries present at the event were the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Alhaja Saratu Aduke; Iyaloja of Ibadanland, Alhaja Iswat Ameringun; Iyaloja of Oyo; and other members of the Babaloja General-in-Council.
The visit further underscored the strong relationship between Chief Sanusi and the market leadership in Oyo State.
It also reflected a shared commitment to economic empowerment, grassroots development, and inclusive progress.
