Alagooja of Ago Oja, Oba Abdulganiyu Ajiboye Busari Arogundade II, has called on the Okanlomo Oodua, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, to replicate his passion for investments in Ago Oja.
The traditional ruler made the call on Monday when he was hosted by Sanusi, who is also the Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, during a courtesy visit to Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Ibadan.
Alagooja appreciated Chief Sanusi for his outstanding philanthropic gestures and investments and remarkable contributions towards the development of Yorubaland and humanity at large.
He disclosed that his visit was also informed by the consistent efforts of Sanusi in attracting investors, investments and promoting economic development across communities in Oduduwa land.
Alagooja expressed his desire to see transformational investments such as the Ilaji Resort replicated in Ago Oja Kingdom for the benefit of the people and economic growth of the area.
He further urged Chief Sanusi to help him appreciate Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, particularly for restoring the lost glory of Ago Oja Kingdom after over 270 years through the official recognition and crowning of the Alagooja stool by the Oyo State Government.
In his remarks, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi congratulated the Alagooja, Oba Abdulganiyu Ajiboye Busari Arogundade II, on his official crowning and recognition by the Oyo State Government.
The Okanlomo Oodua reaffirmed his commitment to the continuous development of Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole through investments, empowerment initiatives, and community-based projects capable of uplifting the people.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Ago Oja Palace Working Committee and former member of the House of Representatives, Akinrogun Oluwasegun Taiwo, on behalf of the Alagooja and his team, expressed profound appreciation to Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi for the warm and befitting reception accorded to them during the visit.
Akinrogun Segun Taiwo offered prayers for the Okanlomo Oodua, saying, “Tojọ tẹ́rún, ilé alákàn kí gbé,” meaning may he never fall or experience disgrace, and also prayed that God will continue to strengthen and uplift him in all his endeavours.
“Once again, you are highly appreciated for your hospitality and unwavering support for humanity and Yoruba development,” he added.
