Professor Olajire’s Death A Great Loss To LAUTECH, CCII-Akande
Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, has described the death of Professor Abass Olajire as a great to the entire community of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso and the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
The chieftain of the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said this in a condolence message to commiserate with the Council, Management, Staff, students and Alumni of LAUTECH and the CCII over the passage of the professor of Chemistry.
Professor Abass Olajire, one of the globally-acknowledged, suddenly died on Friday.
Akande described the news of the sudden demise of the University don as shocking and very unfortunate, adding: “It is with heavy heart that I received the news of the sudden death of Professor Olajire who passed on last Friday.
The NCC chairman lamented that the death of Professor of Chemistry was a great loss to the entire LAUTECH Community, the CCII and Oyo State in general.
“My heartfelt condolences goes to the immediate family of the deceased on this very unfortunate death of their beloved. I pray God gives them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
“We are however consoled that the deceased lived a life of service to humanity and God. It is not how far but how well. I pray God accept his return and accept him into his bosom,” Professor Akande added.
