Iyabo Oko Died Of Ischemic Stroke-Daughter
It has been revealed that 61-year-old Nollywood actress, Sidikat Odukanwi (popularly known as Iyabo Oko), died of complications arising from ischemic stroke.
One of the daughters of the deceased, identified as Olamide, disclosed that her mother died, some five years after she had been diagnosed of ischemic stroke.
An ischemic stroke happens when blood flow through the artery that supplies oxygen-rich blood to the brain becomes blocked.
Blood clots often cause the blockages that lead to ischemic strokes and during an ischemic stroke, arteries to the brain get blocked or become narrowed by a blood clot.
Ischemic strokes can be classified as either thrombotic or embolic, depending on where the blood clot forms. In a thrombotic stroke, a blood clot forms in an artery that carries blood to your brain.
