Nollywood, the Nigerian movie industry, has again been thrown into mourning as a popular Yoruba actor, Ibrahim Chatta, announced the death of his son.
The talented actor had, early Saturday morning, announced the sad loss of his son on his Instagram page.
The sad news of the death of Chatta’s son came, just few days after veteran actress Peju Ogunmola lost her only child, Ayomikun.
Details of the circumstances of the death of the young boy were not disclosed as the 54-year-old actor posted the photo of his late son.

Ibrahim Chatta simply wrote on his Instagram page: “Inna liLlahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun.
“Ya Allah, You are the Knower of all things. Rest on, Dear Son. Champ💔💔💔💔”
The post, however, has continued to generate reactions from fans and colleagues of the actor, who have taken to the comments section to commiserate with him over the development.
Peju Ogunmola loses only son

The news of the death of the son of Chatta came, just a few days after veteran actress, Peju Ogunmola, lost her only child, Ayomikun, an incident that also left the entertainment industry in grief.
Ayomikun, the only child Peju had for another popular actor, Sunday Omobolanle (aka Pappi Luwe), and who was in his early 30s, died in Ibadan this week and has since been buried.
The two incidents have thrown the Nollywood community into mourning, with colleagues and fans expressing shock at the double tragedies.
Ibrahim Chatta had, only last June, recounted how he lost his first child, a daughter, years ago.
Attributing her passing to financial hardship and inadequate medical care, Chatta had revealed that he buried his daughter in an old wooden Coca-Cola crate as he could not afford a proper coffin.
