Speaker of the eighth Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has promised to partner and work with the state House of Assembly Service Commission.
He said this was in a bid to bring about the needed development to legislative activities in the state and to make the eighth Assembly the best yet in the history of the state.
The Speaker said this while receiving a delegation from the House of Assembly Service Commission in his office, today.
As contained in a release by the Media Unit, Office of the Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Egbedun assured the delegation that the Commission will be regularly consulted to gain from its wealth of experience.
He said cooperation with the Commission would help in facilitating legislations that would ensure the growth and development of the state.
Chairman of the Commission, Abiodun Awolola, who led other members on a courtesy, said they came to visit the Speaker to pray for him and other lawmakers.
He added that the visit was to also notify the Speaker of the willingness of the staff of the Commission to work closely with the eighth Assembly under his leadership.
Awolola noted that the Commission will always be available for guidance where necessary and promised a smooth working relationship with the assembly.
He appealed to the Speaker to also relate with the House of Assembly Service Commission with love and understanding.
Majority Leader of the state legislature, Hon. Babajide Kofoworola and the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Akinyode Oyewusi, appreciated the delegation for their timely visit and assured them of cooperation.
The delegation from the Commission also included Akinola Olasunkanmi Adufe (Commissioner II) and Aloba Israel Oluwatomilayo (Commissioner III).
Others were Akinloye Ajibola Oluseye (Commissioner IV), Omidiora Olalekan Afolabi (Commissioner V) and Alhaji Afolabi Kareem Adegboyega (Commissioner VI).
