Akpabio Reassures On Development Of Niger Delta Region
Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has reassured the people of the Niger Delta Region that their interest would be taken into consideration in taking decisions that affect the region.
The minister said this when he and his entourage paid a condolence visit to the Warri Kingdom, over the death of the Olu of Warri, His Royal MajestyOgiame Ikenwoli, who he described as a great patriarch.
Akpabio said: “Let me assure you all that the interest of all Niger Deltans would be taken into consideration on any decision we would take in the affairs of the region.”
The youths of Itsekiri, through their national president, Comrade Agbateyiniro Weyinmi, thanked the minister for the visit and appealed to him to have the interest of the youths in mind, while constituting the NDDC Board, noting that no one from Itsekiri has ever benefited from commission.
The minister, afterwards, paid a visit to the Olu Of Warri-Designate, Prince Tsola Emiko, where he prayed for a peaceful and successful tenure for him.
