The Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has extended his warmest congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 90th birthday celebration.
Sanusi, Chairman of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, stated in a statement from the Office of the Ajia Olubadan, on Saturday, expressed deep admiration for the life, leadership, and legacy of the revered traditional ruler.
He described Oba Olakulehin as a father figure, a symbol of wisdom, and a custodian of Ibadan’s rich cultural heritage.
“On behalf of my family, the Ilaji Family, and the good people of Ibadanland, I heartily felicitate with His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin Ige I, on the celebration of his 90th birthday.
“Kabiyesi’s life has been a testimony of divine grace, courage, and unwavering service to our land and people,” Sanusi stated.
Chief Sanusi prayed for long life, sound health, enduring peace, and divine wisdom for the Olubadan, as he continues to lead the ancient city of Ibadan with distinction and honour.
“May your reign bring greater unity, progress, and prosperity to Ibadanland. We are proud to be witnesses to this landmark age in your glorious life,” he added.
The Ajia Olubadan also called on all sons and daughters of Ibadanland, both at home and in the diaspora, to join in celebrating this historic milestone, which he described as a rare blessing worthy of gratitude and communal thanksgiving.
