Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointments and re-appointments of some Director-Generals, Board chairmen and other aides.
He appointed Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi and Mr. Olajide Boladuro as Directors-General of the Oyo State Agency for People Living With Disabilities and the Oyo State Gaming Board, respectively.
The governor also re-appointed Bishop David Moradeyo as chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Christian Wing), while Sheikh Hashim Olamide Wahab Atere was appointed as the chairman of the Muslim Wing of the Board.
Other appointments approved by the governor included: Rev. Femi Ibikunle (Special Assistant, Inter-Faith Affairs); Mr. Timothy Olufemi Sunday (Executive Assistant, Disabilities Matters);
Alhaji AbdulRasheed Adewale (Special Assistant, Islamic Affairs); Mr. Lanre Dairo (Special Assistant, Housing and Urban Development)
Rt. Hon. Olaniyan Babatunde David (Executive Chairman, Shooting Stars); Mr. Ayoola Olowosoke (Chairman, Agency for Adult and Non-formal Education);
Sheikh Akeugberu Taofeeq Akewugbagold (Chairman, Agric Credit Corporation); Engineer Ojekunle Ezekiel (Chairman, Rural Electrification Board)
Mrs Adedotun Bolanle Olaitan (Chairperson, Broadcasting Service of Oyo State (BCOS) and Mr Tolu Kuku- Senior Special Assistant, Domestic).
All the appointments, as stated in a letter by the Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Chief Segun Ogunwuyi, were with immediate effect.
Governor Makinde, in a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, congratulated the appointees.
He also urged them to see their appointments as a call to greater service and to discharge their duties with optimum dedication to the state.
Governor Makinde had, earlier today, appointed Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan as the Vice Chancellor of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.
This was as he assured workers at the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education (EACOED) that none of them will be relieved of their jobs.
