20 Years After: Family Holds Communion Service To Honour Bola Ige
The family of the late Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige, will hold a memorial communion service in his honour tomorrow.
The service, holding at St’ Annes’ Church, Molete, Ibadan, is taking place 20 years after the former governor of the old Oyo State was assassinated in his Adeyi, Bodija,Ibadan-home by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
Architect Muyiwa Ige, one of the children of the late Chief Bola Ige, disclosed to newsmen that the thanksgiving event will start by 1pm.
The former Osun State commissioner said: “We are hopeful that close associates of our late dad will honor us with their presence at the church on Thursday. It will be brief.”
He also added that a stage play will be on at the same time at the Wole Soyinka Arts Theatre inside the University of Ibadan and disclosed that the theme of the play is “Ige: From Kaduna Boy to Cicero of Esa Oke”.
