Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi has described the 2-day visit of President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria to the UK as a signal to the renewal of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Okanlomo Oodua, stated this in a statement he personally issued on Thursday to comment on the visit of the president to His Majesty King Charles III and the Royal Family of the UK.
He congratulated President Tinubu, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and Nigerians on the visit, saying it was “a significant diplomatic milestone that underscores Nigeria’s strategic importance on the global stage.”
He said the visit signaled a renewed era of bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, adding that it “reflects purposeful leadership and a commitment to advancing the economic and international interests of Nigeria.”
According to Sanusi, the outcome of the high-level engagement would expectedly yield substantial benefits for Nigeria at large.
The benefits, he stated included enhanced foreign direct investment, strengthened trade relations, infrastructure development, educational and cultural exchange, as well as improved cooperation in security and innovation.
“This historic engagement presents a unique opportunity to deepen partnerships that will drive sustainable development and economic growth across our nation, with particular positive impact on our states,” he wrote.
Sanusi further expressed optimism that the renewed collaboration between both countries would translate into tangible improvements in the lives of Nigerians and contribute to long-term national prosperity.
