Mr Remi Oladoye, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the South West Guild of Online Publishers (SWEGOP), has lost his mother, Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye (nee Adegunju).
Mr Oladoye made this known in an obituary announcement his signed on behalf of other members of the family and made available today.
As stated in the announcement, the mother of the SWEGOP PRO passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, 24 June, 2025 after a brief illness.
The deceased, who was born on 3 July, 1948, was a renowned primary school teacher in Ogbomoso, Oyo State who retired in 2013 after 35 years of meritorious service.
“With heartfelt gratitude to Almighty God for a life well spent, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye (née Adegunju), who slept in the Lord on June 24, 2025, after a brief illness.
“Mama Oladoye passed on at the Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
“She was a dedicated and passionate teacher who served in various primary schools within Ogbomoso and retired in 2013 after 35 years of meritorious service in the education sector.
“Born on July 3, 1948, in Orile Owu, Osun State, she was united in holy matrimony with Pa Sunday Oladimeji Oladoye, and their union is blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren.
“A devout Christian and committed servant of God, Mama Oladoye lived a life of faith and service to humanity, contributing actively in various capacities within the Church,” it was stated.
Burial arrangements of the late Madam Omotayo Ibironke Oladoye will be announced in due course, the SWEGOP PRO added.
