Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, the federal lawmaker representing Anambra South Senatorial District, has been reported dead in a London hospital, aged 52.
The lawmaker who reportedly traveled to the United Kingdom since he seriously took ill few weeks ago died Saturday morning.
While his ailment is not yet disclosed, the condition of the late Senator Ubah reportedly became critical in the past 48 hours.
The cause of his death is also not clear as at Saturday morning.

Born on 3 September, 1971, the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah was a politician, entrepreneur and businessman.
In 2014, Ifeanyi Ubah contested and lost at the 2014 Anambra governorship election on the platform of the Labour Party.
On 24 February 2019, he was declared winner of the Anambra South Senatorial elections on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP).
The late Ifeanyi Ubah was re-elected on the platform of the YPP. He, however, defected to the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Ubah came fourth in the 2021 Anambra State governorship election won by Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Earlier this year, Ifeanyi Ubah indicated interest in seeking the governorship of Anambra State in next year’s election.
He served as the senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate till his death on 27 July 2024 in London.
Ubah was the CEO of Capital Oil (CCO), which he founded in 2001.
Capital Oil facilities and outlets are domiciled mostly in South-East and South-West of Nigeria with one of the largest tank farm for petroleum products storage and distribution in Lagos.
Ifeanyi was born as the first son of seven children to Mr. & Mrs. Alphonsus Ubah in Otolo, one of the four quarters of Nnewi in Anambra State.
According to Wikipedia, due to the inability of his parents to cater for the educational and material needs of their children, Ifeanyi dropped out of Premiere Academy, Lugbe, Abuja to learn trade at a young age.
The late Ifeanyi Ubah attended several local and international business courses and seminars in leadership and business management.
Ifeanyi Ubah was married to Uchenna Ubah, a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, with whom he has five children.
He was also the owner and financier a foundation which is named after him, Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation.
Recall that Ifeanyi Ubah was on his way to Nnewi in September, 2022 when attacked by gunmen in Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State.
His convoy was shot at; at least five persons, including two policemen, were killed. Ifeanyi Ubah survived as the vehicle he was riding in was bulletproof.
