Sanwo-Olu Appoints Komolafe CEO Lagos Council For Arts And Culture
The Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of Mr. Oladusi Olugbemi Komolafe as the new Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture.
A letter signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, stated that in approving the appointment, due cognisance was taken of the appointee’s integrity, selfless service and track record as a passionate artS and culture promoter.
Komolafe, who succeeds Mrs. Saidat Otulana, who statutorily retired from the public service in December, 2020, was a former Director, Performing Arts Department of the Council.
The new CEO joined the Lagos State Civil Service in August 1988 as a Cultural Officer II after graduating from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Language Arts in 1986.
Komolafe is a member of the Nigerian Folklore Society International Centre for the Arts; Lagos Arts Writers Organisation of Nigeria; National Cultural Information (Bureau) and a fervent advocate of cultural renaissance.
