The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Oyo State Directorate, has entered into partnership with an Ibadan-based radio station, IBR 92.5 FM, to promote citizens’ value re-orientation.
This was stated in a press release on Tuesday, e-signed Oyo State NOA Head of Media and Publicity, Isiaka Adeniyi.
The partnership was in line with the core mandate to consistently mobilise the people of the state for positive values and attitudes toward nation-building and sustainable development.
Oyo State NOA Directorate, through the partnership with IBR 92.5 FM, has solidified arrangements to educate and sensitise the station’s audience on a 30-minute weekly value re-orientation programme, called COMPASS.
The programme, which will be on the airwaves from 5-30pm – 6:00pm every Tuesday, is anchored by Station Manager of the radio station and who is a former former Director of NOA, Mr Adefemi Mapaderun.
The management of the radio station entered into the partnership with NOA Oyo State as its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to address the issues of moral decadence and gradual erosion of ethical principles, values and social norms within the society.
As stated in the release, the weekly programme was also aimed at encouraging the people to actively participate in matters of governance as there will be a phone-in segment on the programme.
“The maiden edition of the programme featured the Oyo State Director of the agency, Dr Olukemi Afolayan, who restated ‘Now is the time for all citizens to own the Nigerian Project by imbibing positive attitudes that will hasten nation-building and sustainable development’,” it was stated in the release.
