Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, will make a public presentation of his new book, Know Oyo State, tomorrow.
The book, coming three years after the publication of his ninth book, is a comprehensive guide and reference material on Oyo State, capturing the history, culture, geography, achievements, people and institutions of the state.
Rich in details and educational value, Know Oyo State can rightly be described as the “Encyclopaedia on Oyo State.”
The book will be publicly presented on Wednesday, 25th June, 2025, at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, opposite the University Colleges Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, by 10am.
The Chief Host is the state governor, Engineer ‘Seyi Makinde, while the Special Guests are Chief Adebayo Adelabu (Minister of Power), Dr Zacchaeus Adedeji (Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS) and Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN (Baba Adinni of Oke-Ogun, Oyo State).
Other Special Guests of Honour are Senator Rashidi Ladoja (former governor of Oyo State) and Major General Oladayo Popoola, rtd (a former military governor of the state).
Also expected to grace the public presentation of Know Oyo State are senators, members of the House of Representatives from the state and members of the state House of Assembly.
The reviewer of the book is the secretary of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Oyo State chapter, Comrade Kayode Salami.
