Honourable Aderemi Oseni, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency, has donated the sum of ₦5 million to support the legacy of the late Honourable Olaide Akinremi Jagaban.
This was as he pledged to support the Akinremi Jagaban Legacy Group following the untimely passing of its founder.
The late Honourable Olaide Akinremi Jagaban was the APC House of Representatives member for Ibadan North Federal Constituency until his sudden death, in July, last year.
Oseni, while speaking at an enlarged caucus meeting of the group, described the late lawmaker as his best friend, saying: “Akinremi was not just a colleague; he was a brother to me. His commitment to our people was unmatched.”
He promised to complete all the projects embarked upon by the late lawmaker, ensuring that Jagaban’s vision for the community continues.
To demonstrate his commitment, Oseni donated the sum of ₦5 million to the group, saying: “This donation is a testament to my belief in the work we can accomplish together. We must carry on Akinremi’s legacy.”
Speaking on behalf of the Akinremi Jagaban Legacy Group, the coordinator praised Oseni for his generous support and dedication to the late lawmaker’s ideals.
The coordinator expressed gratitude, adding, “We are honoured by your commitment. Your support will help us ensure that Akinremi’s vision does not fade away.”
“We pledge that the group will fuse into your initiatives to continue the impactful work started by Honourable Akinremi Jagaban.”
