Chief Ajadi Adekilekun Badmus, the Asipa and Asiwaju of Osogbo, has been described as a pride of Osun State.
The state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, stated this in his congratulatory message to Chief Badmus, a former school principal and administrator on his 82nd birthday anniversary.
The governor, in a release by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, said the octogenarian has records of immense contributions to state development.
Governor Adeleke recalled the many positive exploits of Chief Badmus, saying “most exciting was your installation as the Asipa and Asiwaju of Osogbo, respectively, in a space of five months in 2022.
“This is a rare occurrence in the lifetime of an individual, hence my additional admiration for you as a selfless leader who wears the total confidence of the sons and daughters as well as residents of Osogbo.
“Your consistency, as a school principal, the Special Adviser on Education to the first Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Adetunji Adeleke; Chairman, Osun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM);
“A two-term National President, Osogbo Progressives Union (OPU), Chairman, Osogbo Action Council (OAC), is your asset which has continued to win you more faithful within Osun State and beyond.
“Your undisguised stubborn adherence to principle of probity and transparent leadership is an additional asset, a reward of which will certainly outlive you.
“You are a pride of Osun State and one who, in face of seduction and intimidation, stood firmly by the interest of his town and achieved results.
“At 82, your work rate can still compete keenly with that of a 42-year old man.
“Though this attribute is a grace from your creator, it tells much more about your disciplined life which is devoid of frivolities.
“I pray to God to bless you with more years to continue your service to the state and humanity as a whole.
“Congratulations, sir. Baba Asiwaju Ajadi Adekilekun Badmus,” the Osun State governor stated in the message felicitating Chief Badmus.
