President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Ibadan-born businessman and philanthropist, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, on his birthday, praising his contributions to community development, youth empowerment and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Saturday, October 17, 2026, by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The President described Sanusi as a loyal member of the APC who had continued to mobilise party members and supporters ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
He commended the businessman for his generosity, compassion and commitment to improving the lives of people in Ibadan and Oyo State.
According to Tinubu, Sanusi’s contributions to humanity extend beyond his business interests to mentoring young people and creating opportunities for talent development.
“From the reports reaching me, you are also a great mentor to our youth, as shown by your establishment of ICAST School and Ilaji Soccer Academy, providing a fertile ground to develop soccer talents for recruitment by Spanish and Maltese teams,” the President said.
Tinubu noted that Sanusi had built a successful career in the oil industry, working with multinational companies, including Halliburton, Saipem, Hanover and Beckfield, before establishing TNL Drilling Services.
While acknowledging Sanusi’s role as chairman of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort in Ibadan, Oyo State. The President described the celebrant as an exemplary son of Ibadan and Oyo State, noting that his humility and kindness had earned him admiration.
Tinubu further expressed appreciation for Sanusi’s contributions to the APC and his personal support for the party.
“As you celebrate your birthday today, I pray that Almighty God will continue to grant you good health, greater accomplishments and many more fulfilling years of service to humanity,” he said.
The President wished Sanusi continued success and a fulfilling life dedicated to service to humanity.
