KSA Loses Wife Of 43 Years, 24 Hours To 75th Birthday
It is a sad day for the King of World Beat and Juju music legend, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye (aka KSA), as he lost his wife of 43 years, Honourable (Mrs) Risikatu Adegeye, less than 24 hours to his 75th birthday celebrations.
The late Mrs Adegeye, who was a former lawmaker in the Lagos State House of Assembly, died early today, even as family sources are yet to disclose the cause of her death.
“We lost the wife of Juju maestro, King Sunny Ade, Hon Risikat Adegeye. She died this morning in Lagos. May her soul rest in perfect peace,” a source said.
The late Lagos State lawmaker represented Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 1 in the seventh assembly of the state legislature between 2011-2015 and was a two-time member of the Lagos State Assembly Service Commission.
Aged 62, the late lawmaker was married to King Sunny Ade for over 43 years and they reportedly had six male children between them.
Her love for the Juju music legend, it was learnt, dated back to when she was in Form Three in the secondary school, due to her attraction to his music in the 1970s.
The late Mrs Adegeye, who was said to had thrown a big birthday bash for her husband when he turned 70 years old in 2016, was said to have planned hold a bigger party as the Juju music maestro hits age 75 tomorrow.
However, this was not to be as she succumbed to the cold hands of death in the early hours of today, and less than 24 hours to the 75th birthday of the King of World Beat.
