Residents of Agada Community in Lanlate Town, Oyo State have applauded Senator Sharafadeen Alli over the borehole project he donated to the community.
The applauds came in turn during the inauguration of a borehole project on Thursday in Lanlate, Oyo South Senatorial District.
The recognition of the efforts of Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the lawmaker elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was contained in a statement by his Special Adviser (Media), Akeem Abas.
The latest borehole is the 38th of the 100 water projects promised to be executed by the senator representing the senatorial district within one year of his being sworn in.
Speaking on behalf of the residents Mr Moshood Jimoh, representative of the Park Management System(PMS) of the New Garage, Agasa, appreciated the senator for his kind gesture to the community.
He applauded Senator Alli and prayed that God should bless the federal lawmaker in order to do more.
Mr Lanre Olaosegba, a former Vice Chairman, and Mr Segun Ojediran, APC Chairman in Ibarapa East Local Government, appreciated Senator Alli for the initiative.
Alli, who was represented by Dr Sarafadeen Agbogun, said the borehole project at Lanlate was aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the people in the area, especially during the dry season.
He explained that the water project would equally assist the Lanlate New Garage Motor Park and the environs.
“We will execute more projects within the senatorial district before the end of my tenure,” Senator Alli assured.
The project commissioning was attended by Hon. Bayo Aderounmu, Mr Sikiru Ogunyaju, Mr Ademola Omileke, Hon. Adeleke Raji, a former chairman, Ibarapa East Local Government, Mr Gbenga Abegunde and Mr Taiwo Dahunsi.
Also in attendance were Mr. Gbemisola Ademola, Mr. Moshood Lateef, Mr Ismail Olaosegba, Mr. Jolaoso Shereef, Mr Sunday Gbadebo, Hon Mariam Abegunde and Alhaji Mukaila Adewole, among others.
