Rotimi Adebiyi (aka Paracetamol), a notorious and murderous cultist terrorising Abeokuta and Ifo environs, has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command.
Paracetamol has been on the wanted list of the state police command for his alleged role in several cult clashes in the state which has led to the death of some members of another cult group.
According to the Ogun Police image-maker, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a release, AZ:5310/OGS/PRO/VOL.7/104.01/05/2022, the suspect was arrested by the CSP Olanrewaju Kalejaye-led SWAT operatives in his hideout at the Ifo area of the state.
He said the arrest of the suspect, from his hideout, was effected by the police operatives, acting on a very reliable intelligent report.
He further stated that some dangerous weapons were recovered the suspected cultist, including a locally made pistol, one live cartridge, assorted criminal charms, weed suspected to be Indian hemp and a cutlass.
Oyeyemi stated that the suspect, a leader of the Eiye Cult group, used to come into Abeokuta metropolis to strike and always run back to his hideout in Ifo.
“The police operatives, acting on credible intelligence, stormed his place at about 1:30 am of Saturday, 30th of April 2022, where he was apprehended.
“Recovered from him are; one cut to size locally made pistol, one live cartridge, assorted criminal charms, weed suspected to be Indian hemp and a cutlass,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Lanre Bankole, has ordered a full scale investigation into the past activities of Paracetamol, with the view of arraigning him in court as soon as possible.
