Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, has congratulated Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi on her nomination as an ambassador, describing it as a testament of her unwavering service to the nation.
The wife of the late former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, was among the 32 nominees sent by President Bola Tinubu to the Senate for screening and ratification as ambassadors.
Olugbon stated in a press release, on Sunday, that Mrs Ajimobi, a former First Lady of Oyo State, has always demonstrated strength in service, and commitment to excellence.
He added that the commitment of Mrs Ajimobi to a better Nigeria was evident, stressing that she served Oyo State along with her late husband with honour, uplifting lives.
“On behalf of my family, the Olugbon-In-Council and the entire Surulere Local Government Area, I congratulate Yeye Oba of Orile-Igbon, Chief Mrs Florence Ajimobi, on her nomination as an ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Her nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a testament of her unwavering service to the nation.
“Chief Mrs Ajimobi has always demonstrated strength in service, and commitment to excellence.
“Her commitment to a better Nigeria is strong as evident in how she distinguished herself while serving Oyo State along with her late husband, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
“This was the reason I conferred on her the chieftaincy title of Yeye Oba of Orile-Igbon.
“The former First Lady of Oyo State is a distinguished Nigerian with steeling leadership qualities.
