Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has felicitated Muslims in Oyo State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri celebration and called for more security awareness among the people of the state.
The governor, in a press release by his Special Adviser (Media), Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, lauded Muslims for their sacrifice, perseverance and commitment during the 30-day fasting period.
He charged the Muslim faithful to use the opportunity presented by the Eid-el-Fitri to seek God’s face and guidance, and to pray for the leadership of Oyo State and Nigeria.
He equally urged them to be observant and cautious during the festivities, ensuring that they pay close attention to their environments.
Governor Makinde further urged the people of the state to report any suspicious movement or activity to appropriate security agencies.
