Africa Tourism Partners, UN Tourism and BDO have announced that the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit (AYTIS) and Challenge 2025 will hold in Nairobi, Kenya from Tuesday, 24 June to Friday, 27 June.

The AYTIS Challenge 2025 (www.youthtourismsummit.com) was original scheduled scheduled to take place from 10 to 13 June, 2025.

It was disclosed that the change was as a result of the 68th UN Tourism Regional Commission for Africa, which is also set to take place in Nigeria on the same dates.

Organisers of the event, the seventh edition, advised all the stakeholders to take note of the new dates, noting that the deadline for registration has been extended to 14 March, 2025.

The AYTIS is a marketplace for meaningful networking where participants will benefit from match-making and exploring new business opportunities in Kenya and the rest of East Africa.

Activities lined up for the four-day Summit included youth employability and career development clinic, intra-Africa market access for youth in tourism and entrepreneurship and youth entrepreneurship, investment sourcing and project financing, among several others.

All key stakeholders are therefore encouraged to register at www.youthtourismsummit.com to attend and leverage the platform for business growth, learning and knowledge sharing.

The theme of the 2025 AYTIS and Challenge is “Creating Innovative Entrepreneurship Pathways and Intra-Africa Business Connections for African Youth”.

The Challenge is a catalyst for making tourism start-ups and businesses smarter through celebrating innovation and leading the digital transformation of the sector.

“The 7th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit (AYTIS) and Challenge is being held at a pivotal moment marked by the 4th Industrial Revolution, during which Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly employed as a strategic tool for revenue generation, the scaling of small businesses and the advancement of innovative solutions.

“In the same vein, African youths in various sectors including technology, fintech, tourism and hospitality, entrepreneurship, education, engineering and many others are encouraged to enter the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge.

“The deadline has been extended to 14 March 2025. Top five (5) of the finalists of the Challenge will be announced at the 7th Africa Youth in Tourism Summit in Nairobi, Kenya on 27 June.

“Africa Tourism Partners, UN Tourism and BDO, together with host partners the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Kenya, TEAMS Africa and the Kenya Tourism Board, invite all tourism stakeholders and youth from across Africa in the travel, tourism, hospitality and related sectors to unite for the inspiring 2025 Summit.

“A call is also being made to aspiring global exhibitors to visit our website, www.youthtourismsummit.com, and register their participation.

“Desktop exhibition space will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Other exciting available opportunities include one-on-one meetings, B2B, B2G, and B2C sessions, speed marketing, masterclasses for entrepreneurs in MICE and youth and platforms for brand activation,” Africa Tourism Partners stated in a release.
