Comrade Olugbenga Opadotun, a two-term former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has said the incumbent state chairman of the Union, Comrade Akeem Abas, has done creditably well in his first 100 days in office.
The NUJ leader stated this in a congratulatory message, on Thursday, to felicitate the Abas-led executives of the Oyo Council on their first 100 days in office.
Opadotun further stated in the statement that there was no iota of doubt that Comrade Abas will be applauded by every discerning minds for carrying out his duties with zeal and energy since his assumption of office.
He particularly appreciated the incumbent Oyo NUJ chairman for the various training programmes organised to enable members to effectively and efficiently perform their duties.

“There is no doubt that every discerning mind will applaud the energy, zeal and passion with which you carry out your duties since assumption of office.
“There is no doubt that the various training programmes organised for members of the union will enable them to discharge their duties efficiently and effectively.
“Your welfare programme aimed at ameliorating the effect of the current economic challenges on members is also yielding positive results.
“I can also say the same of your infrastructural face-lift of the Press Centre.
“We appreciate these and many other programmes in the offing to sustain the leadership position of Oyo NUJ among others.”
