Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi has dissociated himself from an online support fund that has surfaced, bearing his name but operated by unscrupulous individuals.
He stated this in a disclaimer issued on Sunday, adding he has nothing to do whatsoever with the support fund and those behind it.
The fraudulent initiative was aimed at exploiting the generosity and goodwill of individuals, scamming them out of their hard-earned money.
Sanusi, a well-known humanitarian leader, restated the dedication of his life to alleviating the various hardships faced by the less fortunate.
