Honourable Aderemi Oseni has inaugurated Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) leaders across 33 local government areas in Oyo State.
The step taken by lawmaker representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives marked the beginning of a strategic grassroots mobilisation to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Oseni, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), also a six-point agenda.
The Six-Point Actionable Agenda by Honourable Oseni, President and Founder of ROCOF, was aimed at restoring the All Progressives Congress (APC) to power in Oyo State and empowering ROCOF members to contest elective offices.
According to him, the agenda was designed to drive a socio-political rebirth in Oyo State and Nigeria through community-based engagement, advocacy, and leadership development.
“We are not just launching an organisation; we are launching a revolution for good governance and transformative leadership,” said Chief Yemi Aderibigbe, Director General of ROCOF.
The ROCOF leader emphasised the importance of supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He described the removal of fuel subsidy, forex reforms and student loan policy as “bold steps for long-term prosperity.”
He also pledged to champion the rights and economic interests of grassroots traders and artisans through training and micro-financing schemes.
ROCOF’s agenda includes promoting youth empowerment and skill development, advocating for justice and liberation of political detainees, and supporting market men and women.
The committee aimed to position young people for national development through education and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Oseni called on ROCOF leaders to take the “gospel of the movement” to every ward and household, urging them to become agents of change and galvanizers of hope.
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world,” Oseni quoted Mahatma Gandhi. “ROCOF is not just a committee. It is a family, a vision, and a movement for the rebirth of Oyo State and Nigeria.
“It is non-political, non-religious, and non-ethnic. We are committed to values of justice, equity, accountability, and good governance,” he declared.
