Ronaldo Wins Top Goal Scorer Award
Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded the Best Goal Scorer at the 2021 Globe Soccer Awards at award held in Dubai to celebrate outstanding soccer players around the globe.
Top notch athletics nominated for various awards included Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jenni Hermoso and Alexia Putellas.
Ronaldo was unable to physically receive his award he did not attend the ceremony, but did a video recording to express his appreciation for the award.
“I can’t be there unfortunately, but I want to thank everyone for this achievement and I hope we see each other next year,” he said in the video.
Other players who received awards at the event included Robert Lewandowski (Fan’s Player of the Year); Kylian Mbappe (Men’s Player of the Year); Robert Lewandowski (Maradona Award); Cristiano Ronaldo (Top Scorer of All Time); Italy (Best National Team of the Year) and Federico Pastorello (Best Agent of the Year).
Others included Txiki Begiristain (Best Sporting Director of the Year); Chelsea (Best Men’s Club of the Year); Leonardo Bonucci (Best Defender of the Year); Gianluigi Donnarumma (Best Goalkeeper of the Year); Barcelona (Women’s Club of the Year); Alexia Putellas (Women’s Player of the Year); Serie A (Innovation Award); Msdossary7 (Best eSports Player of the Year) and ZED FC (Best Youth Academy in Africa).
