Journalist and Publisher of National Record, Comrade Iduh Onah, has lost his father, Elder Abah Lazarus Onah, who died early Wednesday morning, aged 83.
Elder Onah hailed from Ogene in Amejo Ward, Edumoga District of Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.
The passage of the Octogenarian was contained in a brief statement by the granddaughter of the deceased, Barrister Theresa Abah on behalf of the family, which stated that he passed on from diabetes-related illness.
A devout Catholic and member of the Catholic Men Organisation (CMO) as well as the Holy Family, Elder Pa Onah was widowed in 2012 when he lost his lifelong partner, Mrs Onyikwu Theresa Onah, vowing not to remarry as he was never going to get used to another woman.
A father, grandfather and great-grandmother, Pa Onah is survived by eight children – Comrade Onah, Mrs Janet Agbo, Mrs Maria Ameh, Mrs Jumbia Etuka; Mrs Margarete Oji, Mrs Mary Oheitonye, Mr Sunday, Mr Onah J. Onah, and Dr (Mrs) Juliana Ejeikwu.
Details as regards the final burial rites of the deceased will be announced in due time, the family stated in the statement.
