The All Progressives Congress (APC) will, today, inaugurate a 86-member National Campaign Council for the governorship election holding in Osun State next month.
The council, as contained in a statement signed by the APC national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and national secretary, Senator lyiola Omisore, will be inaugurated by 2pm, at the party’s national secretariat, Abuja.
The campaign is headed by the governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano) and Abubakar Sani Bello (Niger) are co-chairman and deputy chairman, respectively.
21 vice chairmen were appointed, including Governors Kayode Fayemi; Atiku Bagudu; Abubakar Badaru; Nasir el-Rufai; Babagana Zulum; Mallam Inuwa Yahaya; Aminu Bello Masari; Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq; Rotimi Akeredolu and Abdullahi Sule.
Other vice chairmen included Governors Prince Dapo Abiodun; Simon Lalong; Mai Mala Buni; Dave Umahi; Hope Uzodinma; Bello Matawalle; Ben Ayade; Mohammed Bello; Yahaya Bello; Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; and Senate President Ahmed Lawan.
Members of the APC national campaign council included Senator Godswill Akpabio; Rotimi Amaechi; Emeka Nwajiuba; Otunba Niyi Adebayo; Senator Gbemisola Saraki; Babatunde Fashola; Dr. Sunday Dare; and Abubakar D. Aliyu.
Also appointed as members were Air Marshall Sadique (rtd); Air Wing Marshal Petinrin (rtd): Lt. Gen. H. Buratai (rtd); Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Abubakar Malami, SAN; Senator Hadi Sirika; Ali Isa Pantami; Timipre Sylva; Alhaji Adamu Adamu; and Prince Ademola Adegoroye.
Also appointed as members were Chief Gbenga Familoni; Dr. Ronke Bello; General Lawrence Onoja; Mrs. Titiloye Tomori-Ponnle; Mrs Patricia Etteh; Chief Kayode Alufa; and Major General A.A. Jubrin (rtd); Seun Osamaye; Anjor Obande; Lucy Edu; Charity Jabengo; and Aisha Adamu.
Other members were Terlum Ikya; Bukie Okangbe; Arc. Mallam Aliyu Ahmed and Prince Tona Famodera were, respectively, appointed as the secretary and assistant secretary of the APC National Campaign Council.
