The Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the Oyo State Government to investigate the abduction of pupils and teachers at Esinele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area is expected to submit its report today.
This was revealed in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, on Tuesday.

The report will be formally received by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde, at the Executive Council Chamber, Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
As stated in the statement, the event was scheduled to commence at 12 noon, with top government officials, security chiefs, religious leaders, labour representatives and other stakeholders expected to attend.
The commissioner stated that representatives of the affected communities and schools were also expected at the submission of the report.
These included the Principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, Mrs Racheal Alamu; Headmaster of Baptist Basic School, Yawota, Mr Adejumo Gabriel; and Headteacher of Local Authority Basic School, Ahoro-Esinele, Mr Oke Jacob Sunday.
Prince Oyelade recalled that Governor Makinde inaugurated the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on 31 July, 2026.
It was mandated to investigate and uncover the circumstances surrounding the abduction of the students and teachers at Esinele and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area.
The Judicial Commission was constituted following the 15 May, 2026 abduction incident involving pupils and teachers in Esinele and Yawota communities.
