Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, has condoled with the Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde and the entire Makinde family over the passage of the eldest son of the family, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
As contained in a statement by one of his brothers, Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde, the late Makinde passed away on Friday, 24 January, 2025 at the age of 65 years.
In a condolence message, the Olugbon stated that the news of the death of Engr. Makinde’s death came to him as a shock, describing it as a huge loss.
The traditional ruler prayed God to give Governor Makinde and other members of the family the fortitude to bear the loss
The Olugbon urged the governor and the entire Makindes to take solace in the fulfilling life that their departed brother, son and father lived, stressing that he would be remembered for his positive impacts.
Oba Alao prayed God to comfort the wife and children of the deceased, be with them and be sufficient for them in every area of life.
He also prayed God to grant the governor and his siblings long life in good health.
The Olugbon said his prayers will remain with the governor and his siblings as they mourn the death of their loved one.
