Prominent figures, including traditional rulers, community leaders and other dignitaries gathered at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort to celebrate the 95th birthday of Pa Ganiyu Oladosu Sanusi, on Saturday.
The event, which was a grand display of camaraderie and respect for the father of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, was a reflection of the widespread admiration and esteem that Pa Sanusi holds within the political and social circles in Ibadanland.
With an impressive guest list and an atmosphere of joy and celebration, the birthday festivity was nothing short of memorable.

His son, Dotun Sanusi, the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland, whose name resonates with grace and dignity, encompassed a personality that is rare to find.

In a grand celebration of the life and achievements of Alhaji Ganiyu, dignitaries from all corners of Nigeria and Malta gathered together to pay tribute to a man who is leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of Nigeria.
As the event unfolded, the air was filled with anticipation and excitement as ace Juju maestro, Chief Ebenezer Obey, lit up the atmosphere.
The presence of eminent personalities who graced the occasion added aura of significance and prestige to the event.
Representative of the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, described Pa Sanusi as a man of values and substance.
Other traditional rulers who spoke at the event included Onpetu of Ijeru land, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran and Oba Hamidu Ajibade who, speaking on behalf of Olubadan-In-Council, described the celebrant as a man with distinctive quality.
The wife of a former governor of Oyo State,Chief (Mrs) Mutiat Ladoja, eulogised Pa Sanusi and prayed for a healthy life for him.
Other dignitaries at the event included, Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Imam Agbotomokekere, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State chapter.
Special prayers were offered by the grand Imam of Oyo State and CAN for the birthday celebrant and all his children while royal blessings were offered by the traditional rulers present at the event.
Others present included Alhaja Bose Adedibu; members of the House of Representatives, Hon Oyeshina, Hon Agboworin; President, CCII, Barrister Adeniyi Ajewole; Hon. Ezekiel Oladimeji Temitope OTOPE and Chairman, Ona Ara Local Government Area, Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS.
