The Spiritual Head, Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, (BCS) Olumba Olumba Obu, has said, if the global community failed to take urgent action on the recent conflict between the Russia and Ukraine, peace of the world would be threatened.
Spokesman of the church, Edet Archibong stated this in Akure, the Ondo State capital, during a press conference to herald the BCS Universal Peace March holding, noting that the world is in crisis because it does not know God and cannot give what it does not have.
He said the nations of the world could not expect to have peace while they actively engaged in the manufacture and distribution of weapons of war at the same time.
Archibong also lamented on the spate of insecurity in Nigeria urged Nigerians leaders to surrender to God and forsake evil practices as God was all sufficient for humanity.
He said peace might elude the country, unless Nigerians embrace God and turn to Him to intervene in the social, economic and political challenges of the nation.
He described peace “as a constituents in the Kingdom of God and the greatest in the world. Whatever you are, and may achieve in the world, you must do everything to have peace within you and share it with others.
“Once you have peace, you cannot tell lies, fornicate, kill or commit adultery, idolate or any form of immorality. You will not even bear malice, quarrel or fight against anyone. Money, food, cars and clothes do not give one peace.”
He said followers of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star would converge on Akure, the state capital, for a national Peace March slated for Saturday, to let people know the importance of peace and what should be done to usher in peace.
“The year the God of host is using Ondo State Peace March as a point of contact to visit the four corners of the Universe for the accomplishment of His divine agenda of unifying mankind and finally bringing to an end the wickedness of the wicked.
“The rally was put together in order to talk to people on the need to embrace peace. We must take step towards peace and for peace to reign and should not be done through coercion.
“We must love and forgive one another. There should no more be war, hate, dishonesty and stealing of peoples funds. Nigeria is one.
“Blessings of God are sufficient for Africa and mankind. Peace and security come from heaven. Let us go back to God, the owner of peace”, he said.
