The 50 beneficiaries were trained in inverter and battery technologies under the leadership of the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the agency, Khalil Suleiman Halilu.
The three-day programme, held at the Technology Incubation Centre, Farm Centre, Kano, which ended on Wednesday, was designed to equip participants with practical renewable energy skills, promote women-led enterprises, and enhance sustainable livelihoods.
As contained in a release on Thursday, the initiative formed part of the broader commitment of the agency to empowering women, creating economic opportunities, and expanding participation in Nigeria’s growing clean energy sector.
It was also in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by supporting job creation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive economic development.
Through targeted interventions, such as the Energy Initiative, NASENI has continued to demonstrate its commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to improve lives and drive sustainable development across the country, it was stated.
