Freedom seems to be far from embattled blogger, Funke Ashekun, as it has been revealed in an audio leak how she has allegedly been recruiting people in her battle against the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM) and its General Overseer, Dr DK Olukoya.
The controversial blogger has been enmeshed in a legal battle with MFM and Olukoya and MFM, which ended with a Maryland, US Court of Appeal upheld a $300,000 ruling on damages and cyber bullying against Ashekun.
More About The Audio Leak
The latest audio recording, which has since gone viral, contained a conversation between one Wale Akpeji and another man simply identified as Sola.
The conversation was on how Funke Ashekun was allegedly recruiting disenchanted former members of MFM to join her in the war against the church and Dr Olukoya.
The audio recording gained more traction after bloggers, including one identified as Aunty Adunni Blog, reportedly shared claims about an ongoing coordinated social media network working against the church.
While some of the allegations were initially dismissed by those involved, the emergence of the leaked audio has intensified public reactions and debate among church members and observers.
In the recording, voices said to belong to Wale Akpeji and Sola were heard discussing recruitment plans and conditions expected from prospective participants.
Heard in the audio were discussions about financial inducements and possible travel opportunities abroad for individuals willing to speak against the church leadership.
Expectedly, the latest audio recording has stirred reactions among MFM members and observers.
To many, the incident reflected a painful example of how broken loyalty, misplaced trust, and personal grievances can grow into actions capable of causing division within the Body of Christ.
