TMD Foundation, in a strategic partnership with Eko Hotels & Suites, will hold the African Legacy Summit, a landmark initiative focused on youth and industry development.
The African Youth Summit, organised by the TMD Foundation, aimed at celebrating 50 years of excellence, leadership, innovation, and impact across Africa.
The summit was designed as a transformational platform convening visionary young Africans, hospitality leaders, business executives, innovators, creatives, policymakers, and institution builders to drive meaningful conversations around leadership, legacy, tourism, entrepreneurship, innovation, and Africa’s future development.
The African Legacy Summit represented a special edition of the TMD Youth Summit, formerly known as the Hospitality and Business Summit (HBS), widely recognised as the largest gathering of hospitality, tourism, and business students in Nigeria.
Over the years, the summit has grown from a student-centred industry conference into a dynamic continental movement dedicated to youth empowerment, leadership development, industry growth, and transformational impact across Africa.
As the fourth edition of the TMD Youth Summit, the landmark experience reflected the continued evolution of a platform that has empowered thousands of young people through mentorship, education, strategic partnerships, innovation-focused dialogue, and access to valuable industry opportunities.
Over the years, the TMD Foundation has established the largest hospitality and tourism student community in Nigeria, with active presence in more than 30 tertiary institutions and a rapidly expanding network of emerging industry leaders.
Through impactful initiatives, conferences, institutional engagements, and collaborative partnerships, the platform has continued to redefine youth empowerment and professional development within the tourism, hospitality, and business sectors.
The African Legacy Summit represented a powerful convergence of vision, excellence, leadership, and generational impact.
The historic edition centred on the theme of building legacies that transcend generations, institutions, and industries.
It aimed to inspire young Africans to rise beyond survival toward significance, move beyond ambition toward lasting impact, and transform personal success into meaningful contributions to Africa’s growth and development.
The summit will feature high-level conversations with industry leaders, innovators, and change-makers, alongside leadership and transformational development sessions designed to inspire the next generation of African leaders.
Participants will also engage in youth empowerment and mentorship programmes, business and innovation discussions, hospitality and tourism development dialogues, strategic networking opportunities, recognition and award presentations, as well as cultural and legacy-inspired experiences.
With delegates, students, entrepreneurs, creatives, emerging professionals, and young leaders expected from various institutions and regions, the African Legacy Summit is positioned to become one of Africa’s most influential youth-centered gatherings focused on hospitality, tourism, enterprise, leadership, and innovation.
The partnership with Eko Hotels & Suites as it marks its 50th anniversary further reinforced the summit’s vision of celebrating institutions that have shaped industries, created opportunities, and sustained excellence across generations.
“More than just an event, the African Legacy Summit represents a growing movement of visionaries, builders, innovators, and future leaders committed to redefining Africa’s future through collaboration, leadership, innovation, and enduring legacy,” it was stated in a statement.
TMD Foundation is Nigeria’s leading youth development platform in tourism and hospitality, with a network of over 5,000 students and young professionals across several tertiary institutions.
The organisation is dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry through education, empowerment, and enlightenment, while nurturing the next generation of globally relevant leaders in tourism, hospitality, and business.
