Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort (Hospitality) Limited has formally assumed ownership of Interlink and all its assets and subsidiaries, including at Atlético Berja, with effect from 29 January, 2026.
In effect, the hospitality concern has taken full control of the subsidiaries of Interlink, including Club Deportivo Atlético Berja, based in Berja, Andalusia, Spain.
The strategic acquisition represented a significant milestone in the expanding footprint of Ilaji in international sports development, hospitality, and community-focused investment.
Following the completion of the acquisition, an Extraordinary General Assembly of Atlético Berja was convened at the Salva Sevilla Municipal Stadium, in accordance with the club’s statutes.
During the session, the Assembly unanimously approved a full reconstitution of the club’s Board of Directors to reflect the new ownership structure.
New Board Of Directors
The Assembly ratified the dissolution of the former Board and approved the appointment of a new leadership team aligned with the long term vision of Ilaji for sports excellence and institutional growth.
The newly-elected board members are: President: Mr. Dotun Jubril Sanusi; Vice President: Mr. Adesina Araoye; Secretary: Miss Divine Sanusi; and Treasurer: Dr. Justin Fenech.
Each appointee formally accepted their role during the Assembly.
Regulatory and Institutional Compliance
The Assembly further authorised the newly-appointed President to undertake all necessary procedures before the Andalusian Regional Government; Royal Spanish Football Federation; Royal Andalusian Football Federation; and other relevant authorities.
All documentation was being executed before a notary on the date of the press release, ensuring full compliance with Spanish regulatory requirements.
Expectedly, the outgoing Board will complete the handover of all official documents immediately upon finalisation.

It would also seek to enhance youth development pathways, and foster deeper community engagement in Andalusia.
The acquisition aligned with the broader mission of Ilaji to promote excellence in sports, hospitality, and international collaboration.
