The Grand Imam of Oyo State and Chief Imam of Ibadanland, His Eminence, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Abubakry Agbotomokekere, led other top Islamic leaders in praying for Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi.
Sheikh Agboyomokekere, who is also the Grand Patron of the League of Imams and Alfas of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, led the Oyo State League of Imams and Alfas in the special prayer for the 2027 governorship hopeful.
The occasion was the Annual Moulid Nabiyy celebration hosted by Chief Dotun Sanusi, Chairman/CEO Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, held for the Ilaji Muslim Community.
The event, held at the Ilaji Resort International Mini Stadium, attracted a large gathering of dignitaries and Muslim faithful.
Prominent Muslim organisations, including FOMWAN, NASFAT, and QUAREEB were also in attendance, alongside various community leaders including Ibadan mogajis, baales and warlords, as well as market leaders.
The Grand Mufty of Oyo State, Fadilat Sheikh Ismail Okunmebo, delivered a keynote lecture on “Leadership and Its Qualities in Islam,” emphasising the Islamic perspective on governance and moral responsibility.
Special prayers were offered for Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Jagunmolu Olubadan of Ibadanland, wishing him continued success in his future endeavours.
