Dekor Applauds Wike Over Conferment Of Chieftaincy Title
Rt. Hon Dumnamene Robinson Dekor, representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has said the chieftaincy title conferred on the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, is well deserved and timely.
The federal lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Host Communities, is also a former Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly and former Commissioner for Works during the first term of office of Governir Wike.
He said, beyond the conferment, the significance of the title as the Mene Kwalenu 1 of Ogoni, which import is a benevolent king, is most appropriate,adding that it captured the essence of the honour.
According to the federal lawmaker, the giant strides of Governor Wike, which he said have succeeded in restoring the pride of Rivers State and the uncommon love he has for the Ogoni people, justified the honour bestowed on him by the appreciative people of Ogoni.
Congratulating the governor on the conferment of the title, Honourable Dekor, restated the unwavering support of his constituency and the entire Ogoni people to the Wike administration.
