“Beyond doubt, what we are witnessing in Oyo State today is unprecedented considering the infrastructural development going on in the state under the watch of Governor Makinde.
“These have reflected in the welfare of the people, notably the state Civil Service. Governor Makinde has been consistent with the payment of salaries of workers and emoluments of pensioners and retirees in the state on or before the 25th of every month.
“Also with approval of payment of #25,000 wage award and #15,000 for workers and retirees alike to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy.
“Governor Makinde has ensured even distribution of massive infrastructures in all the geopolitical zones in the state and has been appointing people with track records into his government.
“All these are not only commendable but also well noted by well-meaning people in the state and beyond,” he said.
Honourable Ige prayed to God to continue to give Governor Makinde the needed wisdom to rule and direct the state, and indeed the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) where he is serving as the deputy chairman, to a safe harbour.
“I also wish him many more years on earth with good health and peace of mind,” he added.
