Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi has empowered more than 15,0000 people at the grassroots as part of the mobilisation and preparation for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, ahead of the 2027 elections.
The gesture by the Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, was described as a demonstration of his commitment to grassroots empowerment and political mobilisation for Tinubu.
A report has it that the large-scale empowerment and mobilisation programme featured the distribution of bags of rice, rams, and cows to numerous groups and associations for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Speaking during the event, he expressed appreciation to members of the various associations and political support groups for their steadfast loyalty and contributions during the 2023 general election as well as their continued support for the JDS Movement.
He clarified that his immediate political priority remained the re-election of the president and the consolidation of the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.
“I am not aspiring to become governor, but I need your total support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu. Our collective responsibility now is to ensure continuity, stability, and progress at the national level,” he stated.
The renowned philanthropist and business mogul also restated his support for the emergence of a Muslim governor in Oyo State in 2027.
He maintained that the position aligns with the understanding reached among major religious stakeholders, prior to the 2023 general election.
Groups present at the mobilisation programme included the Diesel Injection Pumps & Nozzle Technicians Association of Oyo State (DIPNTAOS); Association of Professional Wedding Engagement Alaga Iduro Coordinators (APWECOM);
Others included Seyi Is Working Group, Shoe Makers Association of Oyo State, Nylon Cutters Association, alongside several other artisan bodies and grassroots organisations numbering over 15.
In their separate remarks, the leaders of the associations pledged unwavering support for the re-election of the president.
They assured the Okanlomo Oodua of their readiness to mobilise votes for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly National Assembly candidates, during the forthcoming elections.
The event was seen as another indication of the growing grassroots acceptance, philanthropic impact, and his strategic role in shaping political conversations and mobilising support across Oyo State.
